About Stephanie Thompson – lead instructor

Steph has several years’ experience working outdoors with schools, community groups, private group bookings and the general public at large events. She spent several years working for a large conservation charity, and set up Bushcraft Birthdays (for kids) and Bushcraft Bash in 2013 after being made redundant.

Amongst other qualifications, Steph is a qualified Forest School Leader, Bushcraft and Archery Instructor. She has a particular interest in and spark (!) for fire lighting and the origins of fire lighting (ask her for a demo on the bow drill)

Steph enjoys learning and developing her bushcraft and survival skills, and is passionate and enthusiastic about passing on her skills and knowledge to others so that they can enjoy the great outdoors as much as she does – and learn some new skills along the way too.
